Many people ask me how a preacher or priest in Christianity
can ever go to Islam, especially considering all the negative things that we
hear about Islam and Muslims everyday. I would like to thank everyone for their
interest and offer my humble story, God Willing.

After twenty-five years a writer in America, I
wanted something to soften my cynicism. I was
searching for new terms by which to see. The way one
is raised establishes certain needs in this
department. From a pluralist background

In
the years around 1960, the American Negroes became
increasingly active in the struggle for civil
rights. The liberal, intellectual Afro-American
leaders such as Martin Luther King and their
supporters, who fought for equality of and
integration among black and white, had participated
in freedom rides and protest marches to finally
abolish segregation. But suddenly, they faced
opposition from not one, but two parties advocating
racism and segregation: The white racists and the
so-called Black Muslims. This radical Negro cult
called "Nation of Islam" became in an astonishing
short time a nation-wide movement and a threat to
the White society, because of its radical principles
such as "the white man is the devil" and its
enormous popularity.....more |

Professor, Theologian, Missionary, Pastor, Church Planter, Licensed Ordained
Minister, fundamentalist Christian, not a likely candidate for Islam. Yet, 6
years ago, after being raised in the Christian church all my life, (first as a
Roman Catholic and then as a Born-Again, Spirit-Filled Christian) and having
completed a Standard Ministerial Diploma, Bachelor of Theology and a Master of
Divinity, I embraced Islam! What was it that brought about such a radical
change? I started to question Christian beliefs while I was studying for my
Master's degree.

It all
started with a computer glitch. She was
a Southern
Baptist girl, a radical feminist, and a
broadcast journalist. She was a girl
with an unusual caliber, who excelled in
school, received scholarships, ran her
own business, and were competing with
professionals and getting awards – all
these while she was going to college.
Then one day a computer error happened
that made her take up a mission as a
devout Christian. Eventually, however,
it resulted into something opposite and
changed her life completely around.

I found
that
Islam was different from many religions.
It was the only
religion that was not named after a
person. It simply meant submission to
the will of Allah. I began to see Islam
and Muslims for who they were not as the
media project them to be. I was very
persistent and I began asking many
questions. Alhumdulillah, the sister I
met was very knowledgeable about Islam.
She had some knowledge about
Christianity but not much. I began to
attend the mosque regularly and in
January 19th 2003, I converted to Islam.

as there are varieties languages in India, there are
varieties of beliefs

prestige for she belongs to the Brahmin caste, the
highest in Hindu caste system. Professionally
speaking she gained a degree in Nursing from

Plane Crashes Led Me to Islam /An American Woman
Discovers Islam / By Jennifer Fayed |
There
comes a time in your life when you are compelled to
ask "Why am I here and what is my purpose in this
life?" These were my thoughts during the summer of
2001. I had been married to my (first) husband for
about 3 years. The marriage was going downhill. My
husband had no ambitions in life, and with two
children barely old enough to take care of
themselves, I found out I was pregnant again.....more |

Why
Former Deacon Emad Al-Mahdi Embraced Islam |
To
start off, we requested from Emad to briefly narrate
his story about how he became a Muslim. He started
off by saying:
ruly, all praise is due to Allah; we praise Him, we
seek aid and guidance from Him, and we seek refuge
in Him from the evils of ourselves and from our bad
deeds. Whosoever Allah guides shall never be
misguided, and whosoever He misguides shall never be
guided. I bear witness that there is no deity save
Allah, who is unique and has no partner, and I bear
witness that Muhammad is His servant and His
apostle.....more |

Why Islam?
By: Dr. Laurence B. Brown. |
Let's talk frankly. Almost never do non-Muslims study Islam until
they have first exhausted the religions of their exposure. Only after they have
grown dissatisfied with the religions familiar to them, meaning Judaism,
Christianity and all the fashionable "-isms"—Buddhism, Taoism, Hinduism (and, as
my young daughter once added, "tourism")—do they consider Islam.....more
