With the joint cooperation of the Federation of Social Organization «Arraid»
in Ukraine, the International Association for New Muslims (IANM), which
comes under the auspices of the Muslim World League, has held two
educational seminars for those who recently embraced Islam; one in the
capital Kiev and the other in Kharkov.
The seminars were honoured by the presence of his Honour the Secretary
General of the International Association for New Muslims (IANM) Mr.
Khalid Al-Romaih, during which he delivered a speech expressing his
thanks and gratitude for the Islamic activities which the Federation of
Social Organization «Arraid» was fulfilling in the favour of Islam and
the Muslims.

Mr. Khalid Al-Romaih made an introductory visit to the Islamic Cultural
Centre of Kiev, received by Dr. Ismail AlQadhi, during which they both
had a tour of the centre’s departments. Dr. AlQadhi introduced him to
the centre and its achievements, praising the financial and moral
support the IANM provides in the favour of the Muslims of Ukraine.
Mr. Khalid Al-Romaih lead the Friday prayer, and after that he met with
tens of new Muslims to discuss with them numerous topics which concern
them as new Muslims, keeping in mind that they are a minority in the
Ukrainian society.
Later, the first seminar for New Muslims was commenced in the capital
Kiev attended by tens of local Muslims living within the city and its
suburbs. It consisted of numerous lectures delivered by scholars and
thinkers, discussing the Greatness of Allah, and some aspects of the
Prophet Muhammad’s biography – may Allah exalt his mention.
Also, Mr. Khalid Al-Romaih delivered his speech in which he drew the
audiences’ attention to the fact that that the term ‘new Muslim’ is a
transitional term which soon diminishes, and in which he emphasised the
greatness of this religion, Islam, and the tolerant nature of it,
keeping in mind that it’s a universal message. His honour the Secretary
General also discussed a number of matters which concern both the West
in general and Ukraine specifically.
The second seminar was held in Kharkov, attended by tens of local
Muslims from the city and its suburbs, during which Mr. Khalid Al-Romaih
delivered a speech on the importance of inviting non-Muslims to believe
in Allah (i.e. to embrace Islam), reminding that each Muslim must invite
them to Islam with wisdom and good instruction.
During this seminar a speech was delivered by the head of ‘Radwan Center
for the Memorization of Qur’an in Cremia’ Mr. Siryan Arifov, which was
about the correct understanding of Islam and what belonging to it
entails.
