1st Convention for New Muslims - Switzerland
(Under the patronage of the Swiss Muslims League in
cooperation with the International Association for New Muslims December 13-14
2003)
All praise be to Allah for the blessings of Islam and may the peace and
blessings of Allah be upon His final messenger Muhammad who guided humanity into
the light of Islam.
The Convention began on the 13th of December 2003 in the city of Leopold
Switzerland for the duration of two days. Attendance was more than 150
people (male and female) with dialogues covering the
following topics:
Islam: What can we contribute to Europe?
The Challenges faced by those embracing Islam in Europe and the general of
Muslims in the community of Switzerland.
Later conducted seminars focused on Islamic affairs such as:
The duration of affiliation of a new Muslim with the Muslim community.
Islam, theory and application.
Women, marriage and the responsibility of the family.
Concluded at the seminar was an open discussions and closing remarks by the
Chairman.
