With the cooperation of Dansk Islamisk Råd, the International
Association for New Muslims (IANM), which comes under the auspices of
the Muslim World League, organised its 1st Convention for Danish New
Muslims in Copenhagen. During this blessed occasion, the Association was
represented by his honour the secretary-general of the International
Association for New Muslims Mr. Khalid Al-Romaih, along with the
attendance of the head of the Dansk Islamisk Råd Dr. Jehad Al-Farra, the
representative of World Assembly of Muslim Youth Dr. Muhammad Jaber
Al-Yamani, Mr. Jamal Naser Al-Shatti of the Islam Presentation Committee
of Kuwait, teacher of Hadeeth at the Al-Azhar University Dr. Badran Al-Eyari,
the head of the Union of Islamic Organizations in Denmark,
representatives of “MUNEDA” (which is an establishment comprising of
Danish Muslim youths), representatives of Danish Muslim Aid, and a
multitude of Danish Muslims and those involved in the matters of Islam
and Dawah.

With that, Mr. Khalid Al-Romaih delivered his speech during the opening
ceremony, introducing the International Association for New Muslims and
its educational activities and cultural courses it holds to spread the
correct awareness of Islam, stressing the IANM’s achievements since it
was established in supporting and caring for new Muslims and following
up their situation up from the time they embrace the religion of truth,
Islam. He expressed that the International Association for New Muslims
is prepared to offer a helping hand, relying on its educational and
technological capabilities, in spreading and clarifying the tolerant
principles of Islam within the new Muslims. Also, Mr. Al-Romaih directed
a cable of gratitude to the da‘iyah Mr. Mahamoud Awad for organising and
conducting the convention very well. Then, speeches followed, delivered
by representatives of the Union of Islamic Organizations in Denmark,
which comprises of 45 Islamic organisations, expressing the role of this
establishment in increasing the cultural awareness throughout the
Muslims, emphasising their upcoming strategic plans in regards to the
new Muslims. Then the representative of the committee of the Union of
Islamic Chancellors of Denmark delivered a speech, expressing the
committee’s achievements in teaching Islam to the new Muslims. After
that, a speech by “MUNEDA” was delivered, which is an establishment
comprising of Danish youths and which organises courses for Muslim both
in Denmark and abroad to teach them about Islam and to raise awareness
of their religious obligations. And near the end, a representative of
Danish Muslim Aid talked about the relief activities which are carried
out by this organisation for Muslims around the world.
