Makkah Al-Mukarramah:
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosque’s call for
dialogue originates in principles of Islam, and aims
at achieving acquaintance, cooperation between
people, reconciliation between nations, and
introducing them to Islam, further affirming the
global nature of this message.
Dr. Al-Turky stated, “The [Muslim World] League
chose ‘dialogue’ as a theme to discuss at the
conference because the world is in need to discuss
common human issues and achieve tolerance between
nations.”
The Muslim World League is eager to implement events
as part of the Islamic Cultural Project, which aims
at achieving tolerance, safety, peace and justice
between nations.
The main office of the Muslim World League has
stated that Islamic Global Conference for Dialogue,
which is to be initiated with the generous patronage
of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King
Abdullah bin Abdul-Azeez Aal-Su‘ûd – may Allah
protect him – , shall be held in Makkah on 26-28
Jumâdâ l’Ûlâ 1429 Hegira, corresponding to 31 May
till 02 June 2008.
