All praise is
due to Allah, and may peace and blessings be upon
the Prophet of Allah, and upon his family,
companions and those who follow them.
The horrendous crimes perpetrated by the Zionist
occupiers against our brothers in Gaza and in
Palestine – crimes such as continuous air raids,
sanguinary massacres, demolishing of homes, imposing
a lethal siege, causing famine, paralyzing the
infrastructure, causing utter destruction – ought to
ignite any honourable Muslim, nay human being, in
the veins of whom flows blood enriched with honour
and chivalry to have an active stance in support of
those oppressed in Gaza and against the Zionist
oppression, against the international conspiracy,
against the global silence and moreover against the
disregard of some Arabs.
Meanwhile the people of Gaza live in pitch darkness
since the electricity had switched off – a result of
the fuel having became exhausted – and food has
became scarce, and bakeries had to close, and
hospitals stopped functioning, and a humanitarian
crisis has struck these people during this
long-lasting siege. Seventy two were left to die
during the last three months of the siege, due to
the depletion of medications and patients being
barred from treatment abroad. In the midst of this
lethal siege imposed on a million and a half of
Gaza’s residents, it is predicted that the
humanitarian crisis is set to grow worse.
It's a ghastly attempt to annihilate the people of
Gaza and moreover the people of Palestine, while the
Arab world and the international community
responselessly watches the events unfold. This
entails on each one of us the responsibility of
reacting, thus I address my fellow Arabs and
Muslims, saying, “Are our feelings that dormant? The
people of Gaza appeal for help, but none of us
helps, and cry out loud, but none of us responds.”
The Arab and Muslim nations must have a brave
stance, a stance which pleases our Lord (i.e. Allah)
and relieves our brothers and puts and end to the
oppressors' aggression. That cannot be achieved by
words only, instead they must be converted into
actions. Some suggestions:
1. Each one of us must actually feel the
responsibility towards our brothers and sisters of
Palestine, knowing that Allah will ask us about them
[on the Day of Judgement].
2. We must present the situation of our Palestinian
brothers and sisters to all people who are
uninformed about the reality of the situation and
unaware of the magnitude of their suffering.
3. Support the Palestinians financially and with
food supplies.
4. Emphasise to the whole world that the
Palestinians have the right to resist the occupier
and to defend their land, their honour and the holy
sites.
5. We must boycott all Zionist products and the
products of countries which support Zionism.
6. Emphasise the right of all nations to protest and
unite in support of our fellow Palestinians.
7. We must request from the political and
influential individuals to pressurise the
governments to aid the people of Palestine.
8. The Muslim scholars and Muslim preachers ought to
fulfil their duties towards their Palestinian
brothers and sisters.
9. We must know this for sure: should we disregard
coming to the aid of our Palestinian brothers and
sisters, in addition to being accountable before
Allah, Most High, we will be vulnerable to Zionist
plans of expansion, which will not stop within the
borders of Palestine, but will spread to other
places.
Verily, victory from Allah is imminent. Invoke Allah
a lot, beseeching Him to relieve our brothers and
sisters in Gaza.
